It was for pre- school, primary and secondary teachers. Twenty-three participants from 11 NSW Aboriginal language groups across the state attended. deadly and posh were the norm when asked how it felt to be so important. I have tried to help promote language at all times through my Principal peer group and many are now beginning to introduce language into their school routines. My little leaders are in high demand to open many activities and do so with Aunty Esther’s permission. Sandra has worked with the Elders and people of the Dhangatti nation for 12 years and feels that the resurgence of the language is a positive step towards understanding and reconciliation. I am proud to have been able to enable many inroads into language for the educational community. I have seen the passion and resilience needed by Aunty Esther and Caroline in achieving a dictionary through very hard work with Murrbay Language centre and their linguist, Amanda Lisarrague. I see my students standing proud to represent their culture and thank the film group for their part in highlighting all these efforts and their progress.
