Children will enjoy hearing the written text read aloud, as it contains an abundance of allitera- tion and assonance, and they will be absorbed in finding the pictorial representations of the words. This delightful publication offers an exciting means to teach the alphabet and extend children's vocabulary to include some unusual names, creatures and activi- ties. C. A concise fact file box and interesting fact is included for each animal. Language is clear and simple with short passages linked to each colour photograph.
