These encapsulate Scan’s mission to provide engaging professional support for all educators...in a digital age. First published in 1982, Scan continues to reflect the role of teacher librarians as curriculum leaders, pedagogical innovators and exemplary practitioners in schools. Over the years, it has evolved to reflect the changes and capitalise on the educational opportunities created by a connected information environment. Scan is a key element of the support provided by the NSW Department of Education to teacher librarians in NSW public schools, along with, the School Libraries support website (new site coming soon!), the School Library System (SLS) intranet page, the related SLS Yammer forum and Oliver lighthouse schools program.
